Ever wondered why we, human beings, always appreciate something only after we've lost it?

I know I do.

Yes, mistakes are made. It is an inescapable fact.

But they are made only to learn, only to move on in life.

Filling our life with regrets is not something that should be welcomed.

Today, I looked back at my previous relationship.

I realised that I've lost someone who accepted me for who I am.

Who knew?

It has taken me almost a year to realize this fact.

That I've lost someone rare and important to me.

Coincidentally, she has found someone new. On this very day itself.

Painful, yes. But I couldn't wish for anything more, than for her to be happy.

So if somehow, you stumble across this post..

Congratulations once again. And I wish you two well.

Pretty sure that this blog now has, absolutely no one following it.

After all, it has been more than a year since I last came here.

So why am I back?

Last I recall, a blog allows one to express themselves does it not?

That being said.. With close to zero people seeing this, I guess it's fine to let my inner thoughts run free.

There's just so many unanswered questions in my head right now. And I'm sure that everyone can relate to that statement.

So what are mine?

These are only a few of the many I want answered.

What am I to you? Do I even have any value in your life?

Do you know what you're doing? If you do, then why?

Do you understand the consequences of your actions?

Is this what you truly want?

Are the hints you give off real?

I, out of disbelief, really want some answers to these questions.

A piercing pain is present in my heart.

It has been killing me inside, though I don't show it.

After all, I am good at hiding things. I am good at deception. You, of all people, know that.

The sleepless nights, the ever-wandering thoughts, the quiet moments within our conversations.

I hate technical problems

Such a horrible day!

I'm supposed to do an online test that is worth 5% of my total marks and yet the web browser doesn't show me the questions. Sent a total of 4 e-mails concerning the problem to my tutor as the first two failed to send, third is not replied and fourth as a "just-in-case".

On the other hand, my two friends who had similar browser problems have had their replies and a second chance at the test, while I still can't do anything about it. My due date for the online test is tomorrow at 5.30pm. If not, I'm just going to lose 5% due to stupid technical errors.

Great. Seriously, can this day get any better?

Hellow people!
I'm pretty sure that I've been MIA from my blog for quite a while already.
Today's blog is about some of the few things I'm VERY attracted to.
Everyone has their own sense of style and fashion right? So here's an interesting fact about myself that I doubt many people know!

I love, I repeat, LOVE, shoes and caps/hats.

I have been pondering for a while already on what shoes to get since I've just worn out one of my favourite pairs. My dance instructor recommended Converse, my friend recommended Puma Suede, and I usually go for Nike or Reebok or something like that.

After scouting for months (yes literally MONTHS) for a pair of shoes that I like, I finally saw it. For a price of RM120, here are the pair of shoes I decided to buy.

Hehe! Aren't they just a beautiful sight? I'm definitely satisfied with this pair although I haven't taken them out for a spin yet.

Ahhhhhh! I love it so much, the design, the colours and zomg look at the laces! Woots! I did that myself! Haha! Happy happy happy happy happy! I just feel like framing them up in a glass case and admiring them.
xD xD xD

So what's next?
It is going to take a while for me to get the money, but I'm aiming for these.

Why suddenly Puma Suede shoes? Mainly because I didn't listen to my friend's recommendation earlier on. I just checked them out 5 minutes ago, and honestly speaking..

How to Train Your Dragon & Date Night

These movies right here are one of the best so far, and although I can't compare them to Alice in Wonderland since I haven't watched it. I'd say they're worth blogging about. Honest.

I'm pretty sure many of you out there have already watched "How to train your dragon", especially since it is highly advertised.
I don't want to summarise the show as you can always find that elsewhere.

So here's my overall opinion on the show:
The dragons were cute. The comedy was good. The romance part.. Well, not so favored.
I was never really good with writing reviews to begin with. But I'm pretty sure this movie is worth watching.
I really did like the comedy and the cute dragon. An especially good movie to enjoy with a girl (for guys). They'll enjoy it =Pp

To me, whether you watch it in 3D or not doesn't make much of a difference unless you go to Times Square to watch. The experience has a vast difference when compared to One Utama or Curve's 3D shows.

Rating: 9/10

The second must-watch movie is Date Night. Why?
An extremely good comedy movie that somehow still relates to the troubles of married life.
Steve Carrel, the main male actor, is amazing. How he pulls a straight face when saying all the lame lines and jokes still eludes me.

I was so concentrated on watching the show, and when you think things finally get a little more serious... THINK AGAIN. XD
Anyway, to just get on with it, this is definitely recommended to everyone.

Rating: 9/10

Here's a fun fact I learnt about myself just yesterday night.

Meeting people's parents is definitely not my forte. Especially when it comes to my gf's dad.

Although I have seen him before... once. It was still pretty nerve-wrecking.
Thankfully it didn't go THAT badly.
And yet my heart pounded as if I was jumping off a cliff, no strings attached.

Ah wells... I'm glad it's over.

Relieved

It is such a relief to finally get over the Managerial Communication presentation that's worth 35% of my final marks!
Considering that Jason, Dereck and I were the first group to actually present, I hope that our tutor is at least a weeeeeee bit lenient when it comes down to the marking scheme.
After all, we had absolutely no guide or example whatsoever. (I still feel that our content was wrong! T.T)

So now that THAT'S done.....
I'm left with, let's see... two more assignments excluding the one due tomorrow!
Thanks to my holidays, I can take a short breather before beginning again. And superb planning has made my Consumer Behaviour 90% complete already.
Finishing touches are to be done today :D

Looking into the future, heck, I'm not going to be feeling relaxed for much longer.
I hate assignments, but then again how else would I learn?
Just wished that they at least carry less marks so that I wouldn't feel so stressed.

ps. If any of you were wondering why I'm here, apparently nobody is online at 4.30am in the morning and I got bored xD

I doubt I'll have time to blog much nowadays especially with my uni starting again and my gaming competition coming up this Friday.

But anyway, here's a long deserved post.

Back on the 19th n 20th February, Sue Jean and I went for lunch and movie at One Utama. It was definitely special, as I've always wanted to try eating at Garden. Plus, it's kind of the first time i officially had a girl pay lunch for me =Pp

I know that I'm such an idiot for letting her do this, but she insisted!
And and, truth be told.. I'm honestly flattered that she did. Dummy <3

Garden was definitely cheaper than what I thought it would be.
The restaurant's decor is absolutely lovely!
Put a piano player, and a quieter scene and it'll be more romantic. Hehe.

CNY in Penang

Anyway, here's how I spent my Chinese New Year from 14th Feb until 18th Feb in Penang.
There aren't as many pictures as expected, mainly because I'm quite lazy to take pictures. Haha!

CNY's eve at a Brazillian Buffet shop; Carnival Churrasia
Price: RM50+ per head

It's a place for meat lovers, because the buffet served is meat while vegetables are ready-made and placed on a nearby table for picking.

Some of the food served are: Chicken Ham, Lamb Shoulder, Beef, Ginger Beef, Garlic Bread, Pineapple, Chicken Sausages, Chicken Gizzard, Curry Chicken, Fish etc etc.

ps. Must try the 'Fiesta' mocktail :D

Dear Mr. "Policeman",

I know that when a person is angry, he or she tends to mention words/sentences/statements that one might regret later. Therefore, in a clear state of mind.. I am saying this. (Although you most probably won't read it)

First of all,

The word "Awam" in the Kamus Dewan (3rd Ed.) which is coprighted by Dewan Bahasa Dan Pustaka in 1994 means, "untuk atau terbuka kepada semua orang (tidak terkhusus atau teristimewa untuk golongan dsb tertentu)."

With that being said, how is it possible that you are able to chase my friend and I away from a public place?

If we were sitting somewhere which was private property, then I shall gladly take the fault. But that isn't the case here. Sitting in an area, which CLEARLY states that it is "awam" is most definitely not a crime.

Secondly,

Had the residents around the area complained about us at the police station..
Why in the world would you turn up in casual clothing that looked like it suited a game of badminton rather than your uniform? Or are casual clothing allowed when you are on duty now?

ps. I know the place well, and yes.. There is a badminton court nearby.

So please, check your facts first before giving me a lecture.
As a policeman, I honestly believe you should know better.

Thank you for giving me the honour of seeing you tuck your head between your legs and hurrying off after finding out that YOU actually made a mistake. It was really amusing.

Water Lily, Mutiara Tropicana

YAY! I found a new place to eat!
It's a balinese shop called Water Lily at Mutiara Tropicana.

Tadaaa! =)

I have to say, the wooden floors and atmosphere seemed better than Bumbu Bali, another balinese shop at Puteri Puchong. (which sadly, I had forgotten to take pics)
Undoubtedly, the wooden floors and somewhat unique settings looked amazing when I first entered the place.

Another thing that caught my eye was the counter and it's bar-like resemblence, although placed in a more traditional theme. And the first thought in my mind? LIQUOR!! :D

You should know that I have an incredible, amazing, stupendous tolerance in alcohol.. N O T.
So yeah, I couldn't order any alcoholic drink but instead I ordered:

Blue Hawaii!!

Up until now, I have no idea what spurred me into ordering the Blue Hawaii. But it was definitely a refreshing drink. However, it is quite sweet and (to me) tastes pretty similar to those canned Longans that I used to have for dessert when I was young.
My reaction? LOVED IT.

Oh, and just so you know the drink behind is Green Apple Splash which my brother ordered. They're both mocktails priced at RM11 (each).

Next up is the food.

1. Kambing Bumbu - Rice with minced mutton, which is pretty good although it's a safe dish. The rice tastes amazing.

2. Grilled Squid, Fish & Prawns with Pasta - Exactly like it's name. Be warned, the portion is pretty big. I loved the grilled fish the most.

3. Some salad thing (HAHA! Sorry, I totally forgot what it was called) - Comes exactly like a salad, with the choice of having grilled chicken or grilled squid in it. I don't much taste for salads. Wasn't my preferred dish.

With prices that averages around RM 25-35 per dish, it's worth coming here just to try something out of the ordinary. Not very often though, unless you're filthy rich. xD

Oh, I did leave out one dish that was a side dish to the main courses.
Cumi-Cumi Bali if I'm not mistaken. In other words, fried squid.
Definitely a MUST-HAVE if you are a squid lover.

Sherlock Holmes

Yay! After weeks of hearing how good this movie was from my brother and friends, I finally got to watch the all incredible Sherlock Holmes!

Tadaaaa!

I can't say this movie is better than Avatar.

But the fight scenes in the movie were good.
His observational skills also was very entertaining to watch.

Other than that, I didn't really bother much, such as his explaination of the past events.
Perhaps I was too exhausted with my new dance schedule to actually care then..
Overall, I'll give this about 8/10.

I haven't actually rated Avatar right? That movie gets a 9.5/10 for me.
Or whatever I gave to Transformers because yeah, Avatar is a scarily good movie.

By the way, if you don't know.. I'm literally pouring my heart and life into dance.
4 days a week with an average of 2 to 3 hours each is no joke.
I just seem to have the spirit this month. Heh! =)

I love dance. LOVE.
Plus I want a smexy body. HAHA!

New year's eve

It's times like new years eve when you and your friends get together, perhaps in a mall with the crowd or maybe at a friend's place just to avoid all the unnecessary jam.

And although it was a little last minute, Dalai (Jun Keen), Jason, Kenix and I managed to meet up for the new year fireworks at Sunway Pyramid. Oh, we did call Fat (Wei Jun).. and guess what he said?

Wei Jun: OH SORRY GUYS I CAN'T. I'M GOING TO O.U.G. WITH MY FRIENDS.

The nerve! As if we weren't his friends. He's so dead right now.

Anyway, Kenix was working in Pyramid so Dalai, Jason and I hang around pyramid from 8pm till 12am. We played a little bowling to shave off some time. Jason won.. and Dalai sucked so badly, 3rd place. Haha! Leaving me at 2nd place :D

Met up with Kenix next and headed off to the arcade because Kenix wanted to 'vrroom vroom'. In English, he is a Initial D v5 freak. Literally. But I was proven wrong.

Kenix lost to a guy that had 137 wins on his card.

Before we knew it, the time was 11.30pm and we started heading off to find a nice spot for the fireworks. After going on and on until 11.50pm, we ended up at the rooftop of Sunway Pyramid's carpark. Brilliant idea, no?

We had an excellent view of the fireworks. And thanks to my digital camera, I've got some lovely pics as well as two videos of the fireworks to put up. Hehe.

My humblest apologies for not updating for such an intense amount of time.
The truth is, my finals have been long over but my laptop is sent for repair so I'm currently..

It has been roughly a month since my examinations and someone like me should be flying off to parties and such. Unfortunately, I still lack a car of my own.. and the lack of transport is leaving me to rot at home. Urgh..

Anyway, a lot has happened when since my exams. For example..
Ever had one of those nights where you would take a trip down memory lane, perhaps due to insomnia or maybe just a gut feeling that tells you to do so?
I'm sure many of you readers can relate to that, but I've been going through that for a few days now. And honestly, it is killing me.
Maybe it is because it is near that time of the year, or the lack of communication with others that has allowed such resurfacing. But the more and more I think about it.. the clearer the message becomes.

My Sassy Girl' was released in September 4th, 2008 in Singapore (couldn't find when in Malaysia).

Jesse Bradford played as the main actor, Charlie Bellow who had his life all planned out until he met Jordan Roark (Elisha Cuthbert) which caused chaos to his life's plans.
Trouble was the name of the game.

Despite the numerous 'unlucky' dates and senseless events that happened to the both of them, they fell in love with one another.
However, as the show goes on, a flashback shows that Jordan Roark....

Procrastinating Hurts

It's been a really bumpy ride for me right now..
I regret everything I've done during the start of 2009. Why, you ask?

Well, for starters.. I just realised that due to my procrastinating and negligent ways, I've pretty much screwed up my own university education.

Wrongly selecting my first four core units in my first semester because I was indecisive and followed my friends was my main mistake. I honestly regret that move until today.

If only I hadn't been indecisive.

If only I had made the decision to find out more about my majors.

If only I had planned out my whole 3 year course earlier on.

If only I had studied harder and not failed one of my units.

That is really a lot of 'IFs'.

I guess I could take up one major instead of two.
But after a little soul-searching, I think I would regret that alternative even more.
Now, I have to take an extra year in Monash just to accomplish the two majors that I want. Worse of all, the guilt of having my parents to pay for this little mistake of mine is creeping in slowly. It is killing me.

I'm only human after all.

Tadaaa! I am updated! LOL.
Sunway Pyramid's cinema was really really empty.
Don't ask me why.

According to a few friends of mine, the movie was disappointing as it was compressed compared to the one in the book. As for me, I enjoyed laughing at the little drama about the characters' relationship with each other.. And Luna Lovegood's random moments! Haha!
Oh, and Emma Watson is really pretty now =Pp

Speaking of empty cinemas, I just remembered when I went and watch..

Blood : The last vampire

Li-shen and I had nothing to do so we went n catch a movie. And since none of them suited our timing, we had no other choice but to watch this.

Why'd I remember about this?
Only 6 people were in the cinema.. AT CINELEISURE.
Yes, the number of people were countable. Haha! First time I experienced that.

It's based on an anime, and well, geez. It really wasn't worth the money.

This is one japanese shop that has an extremely good service and atmosphere added to it's delicious food.

It's a bit pricey, but if you love japanese food..
Trying out this restaurant is definitely for you.

This restaurant is a 8.5/10 for me.

If everyone, and i mean EVERYONE turned off their lights at 8.30pm to 9.30pm..
I'm guessing that the rate of robbery cases during that time would increase by 100%?

From 8.30 to 9.30pm, I actually walked around my area to observe whether Malaysians would really participate in such a meaningful event.

I'm pretty disappointed at how many people would rather have business instead of just closing shops early for Earth Hour.

I don't get it.. Why aren't the lights at the billboards/advertisements on the streets off?
If it was street lights, I could understand. But are billboard lights really necessary?

However, I wouldn't say that everyone didn't care much for Earth Hour.

Most of the houses in my neighbourhood actually turned off all their lights.

Some sat in the houses with candles, others are just walking around chatting with their neighbours.

I respect three things on that day.

FlyFm for actually going off air for that hour
Blitzone and ProExtreme for actually turning off their lights even when there were people playing
Petronas for turning off at least, some of their lights

houses that turned off their lights COMPLETELY <3> awesome cyber cafe, Blitzone and ProExtreme that turned off their lights mamak and sundry shops that didn't off =(

Today,

Wei Jun, YY, Jason, Lim, Johan and I were at the LAN subjects office in Monash applying for an exemption from the subjects.
It was only then did Johan realise that he failed his Islamic studies. After who-knows-how-long ago he took the cert.
Hahaha! That's not all!

Even with that, he still tried to apply for exemption of the subject.. which after a while,
I heard Johan shout from inside the office..

Well, my first class in Monash starts in approximately 12 hours!
Plus, out of all the time slots for the classes, i get the ones that makes me go to Monash 5 days a week! Yeah that's right! 5 days a week instead of 3 days a week!

I AM LIKE SO TOTALLY HAPP-EH!!
... NOT.

I'm seriously losing out on my own personal and social life

8am in Monash, classes start at 10am... EARLIEST. 5 days a week.. back home at 6pm..
when classes end at 3pm thanks to my lack of A CAR.
No going out at night on weekdays to chill with friends..
My Saturdays are always filled with something or another..

I'm finally back after my 3 weeks of vacation overseas! Uni is gonna start in a week, but i guess all good things have to come to an end sometime.

Anyway, i'm not going to blog about my vacation till later..
Simply because it's too long and tiring.

I know I haven't blogged in a while..
All I currently need is time. Time to sort all the troubles that are in my head.
Even though I sorta know what's gonna happen, I just hope there is some other way.. ..
A better way of settling things.

Anyway..
I decided to blog today because

Project.XxX has finally won their first match in ESPGL!

I'm really glad that everyone in Project Team 1 could make it to the competition today.
We finally showed that although we're new, we have some real skills for competing.

We lost a lot of previous matches and I honestly felt pretty bad about it.
Well.. Finally that losing streak is over!

Today we had our win over H2o :
losing = Search n Destroy by 8-3
winning = Domination by 300-150 (estimated)
winning = Team Deathmatch by 1020-1170 (estimated)

Overall, I just wanna say that it really is fun to win! xD

Special thanks to Project members that were playing and supporting us today

I just realised... It's been such a long time since i danced.
So guess what? I'm finally taking up dance class again.

It has been two months since i stopped breakdancing at UGDN(Urban Groove).
Well, it was for my exams okay. Later after that I got a little lazy.. Yesh! Only a little.

Anyway, I can't wait for my first class this thursday.
Hopefully I can still keep up with the others because I feel very un-fit right now.

Watched that movie with Li-Shen at Curve today.

My review is...

I have no idea who would ever produce such a movie.

I'm sorry if I'm being such a critic, but to be honest, I found that the movie was pretty much a waste of time and money.

So many parts of the movie didn't make much sense and the humour wasn't really there.
It was more of lame then funny at those points in the movie.
(not telling so i don't spoil the movie for those that wanna watch)

I don't want to complain so much la..
Just telling those that intend to watch, I recommend not to do so.

My rating is 3/10

Price

- If I'm wrong, I'm sorry.. but i found it to be more expensive than Sushi King.

Horrible Service

- Ordered and no food came.

- Didnt order anything, and other ppl's food came to our table.

Variety

- Absolutely few variety of sushi there.

- I saw no Unagi... NO UNAGI!

i almost had an accident today at the SJMC round-a-bout.
u know why?

it's my first time driving after getting my 'P' license..
a stupid blue car that cut through into other ppl's lane
i have no reaction during adrenaline rush whatsoever
driving centre didn't teach going through a REAL round-a-bout

here's a small little inaccurate sketch..
(just picture it and u'll get how it goes)

scene 1 : blue car, green van and I was going into the same road from the round-a-bout

scene 2 : blue squeezes n cuts, van takes my lane to avoid, i jam brakes

word of advice : don't cut into people's lane when their turning into another road from a round-a-bout retards!

i so love idiotic drivers.

Sunway Cyber Games was a SUCCESS!

Man.. Am I glad all those planning paid off.

I have to admit that on that day itself, it was pretty hectic as we didn't have enough marshalls to watch over all the teams that were running at the same time.

There were also a lot of obstacles on those two days itself such as hardware problems as well as server problems and a little misunderstanding on Sunday (7th Sept) between the teams and the organisers but thankfully it was settled in a professional way.

All in all, it ended merrily as we celebrated the champions of COD4 and DOTA for the event.

AVRIL ROCKS!

The wait for the stadium's gates to open was unbearable

A whole lot of people were already sitting outside, lining up to get the best view there was.
Thank God I had Shin Lin, Chloe and my gf there with me.

It rained before the concert, so we hid under thin strips of raincoat.

Luckily, the rain stopped right before Avril performed.

And she gets a full 100/100 from the very start.

That's how much she deserves for performing so well that day.

NOT INCLUDING the atmosphere, plus the stage background and lighting..

Eye of Malaysia

On the 24th, my gf, Julien and I didn't go out to just lepak at some shopping mall.

Instead, we met up at KL Central, took the monorail and headed off to Bukit Bintang.
I just discovered that there are other things than bintang walk over there.
Such as the tour bus of KL, that we took that day.
Student price rm17, normal rm34.. EACH.

Why take such as expensive bus?
Well, this bus takes you all around KL and also some tourist attractions such as the Bird Park or the KL Museum.
But for that day, we went to the Eye of Malaysia.

In case you didn't know, the Eye of Malaysia is a ferris wheel in Titiwangsa until October where it will be moved to some other state (i can't rmbr where).
Anyway, the view from above isn't all that, but it's a really romantic place to go with your girlfriend or boyfriend.

I suggest taking the VIP gondola, because what happened to us that day was that we had to share our gondola with a Malay couple.
Not that i'm racist or anything, it's just awkward when you want to spend time with your loved one and some strangers are directly in your face.

I honestly don't like travelling that much, but it's something out of the ordinary for us to do.
So i guess that it's worth everything.
Oh.. The only thing other that spoilt that day, was the non-stop rain.

This has got to be one of the best news i've heard these few days.

It really got me down that the Malaysian government decided to cancel it just because of so-called 'indecent dressing' plus the fact that it is close to Merdeka day.

Such a lame excuse.

What would happen to all of us citizens of Malaysia that are looking forward to her concert then?

Besides, it isn't as if the government is really taking care of us..

If not, i don't believe that petrol prices in Malaysia could soar in a blink of an eye.

Plus food prices and everything else for that matter.

The one thing that didn't rise with all the others is our salaries.

Bleh, here I am ranting on and on again.

Anyway, there's going to be an interesting post about the eye on Malaysia soon..

it has been almost a month since i last blogged.
i guess it's true that i hardly ever have time for myself anymore.

the second semester of college is nothing compared to the first semester.
it's the third week of college and i find myself piled with a ridiculous amount of homework not to mention a research project.

i can't even decide on the project topic because i have to ensure that the topic must contain enough information to write 1500 words in my own opinion.
definitely NOT sap sap sui =.=

anyway, enough about that.
here is an update that i've postponed for quite some time.

yes, i was at Cheer 2008 for those that didn't see me.
the reason was well, i was pretty much sitting at a different cheer team this year.

i had to teman my girlfriend at her school team.
oh, plus i'm out of high school so i'm allowed to support any team. hehehe.

sadly, Dynamitez didn't get first place this year but instead the champion's trophy went to Shirtliff. i heard that Dynamitez was first actually, 2 points ahead of Shirtliff, but lost the lead when they performed an illegal stunt(due to safety reasons) that caused them to drop behind.

so after Cheer 2008, my gf and i headed off to her(my gf) hse to rest a while before going out to have a steamboat dinner with her friends.
it was my first steamboat outside, as i normally have steamboat only during family gatherings but it was really enjoyable =)
